Active quarry in Ordovician rocks of the Ancell Group, specifically the Platteville Formation and underlying St. Peter Formation sandstone. The quarry exposes the SCH or "sulfide cement horizon" near the top of the St. Peter sandstone. This consists largely of pyrite and marcasite that are locally enriched in cobalt and nickel. Poorly crystalline pink to green coatings tentatively identified as erythrite and annabergite can be found locally. Quarry is operated (2016) by Michel Materials corporation - 920-235-7826.
