In this district, a skarn has (situation 1989) been exploited (and maybe is active still) for wollastonite, as raw material for a ceramic factory in Can. The skarn contains snow-white wollastonite fibres up to 17 cm, reddish-brown garnet (probably andradite-grossularia) and greenish vesuvianite. Etching calcite from cavities freed minor actinolite and titanite. (Erik Vercammen observations and collection).
