Porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit.
Agarak Porphyry Cu-Mo 45 Mt at 0.5% Cu, 0.029% Mo, 0.025 g/t Au, 1.19 g/t Ag (proven and probable reserves); 121.8 Mt at 0.48% Cu, 0.027% Mo at the start of mining (1963). The regional Tashtun fault zone is about 500 m wide in this location and is bounded by two N-S–oriented faults dipping 55° to 60° to the east. The main part of the porphyry Cu-Mo stockwork and a porphyry granodiorite are emplaced along the western hanging wall of the ~N-S–oriented Spetry fault, which dips 55° to 75° to the west.
