The 6-inch map shows Col. Martin's Shaft as being located at ITM 510849 742662.
A second and probably unrelated shaft is marked on the 6 inch map 500m to the north of Col. Martin's Shaft at ITM 510942 743080. No evidence remains of this shaft and the site is now a green-field.
