Miller (2006) mentions that at a specific location in the quarry, the blue-grey dolomite rock is cross-cut by two parallel quartz veins. It is inside those veins that well-crystallized quartz and feldspar specimens have been found. In some cases, rutile needles are included inside the quartz crystals.
