Gold deposit, hosted in a granodiorite stock of probably Eocenic age (Shirmazd stock) in the northern part of the Astaneh intrusive complex, which is cut by numerous micro-granodioritic dykes. Gold is associated with sulphide disseminations in the dykes, and is also included in quartz, quartz-sulphide and arsenopyrite veinlets that intersect with them. The western part of the deposit area is overlain by hornfels.
Located southwest of Astaneh.
