In 1954, Sir Arthur Russell collected linarite, galena, and native copper from a dump in the western part of the sett.

Note: Trevarthen Mine is a mis-nomer in Greg & Lettsom (1858) and Hall (1868).

The sett lies east-west for about 1200m from Long Road, that effectively separates it from Penberthy Croft in the east to Trevarthian Farm in the west. There are numerous shaft collars and tips in evidence across the sett in a swathe about 400m wide.

Galena, arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite are prolific as are many secondaries.
