Located 200km north of Barkly Homestead. Strewn on the surface in the area are pieces of finely-banded jasper known locally as ribbonstone. This locality is well known as a source of ribbonstone since at least the 1920's, and similar material occurs on the adjoining station, Brunette Downs.

The Anthony Lagoon cattle station covers an area of approximately 9,349 square kilometres.

Apparently ribbonstone is readily found adjacent to the unsealed secondary road to Elliott as well as to the south along the road to Brunette Downs station.

Kim 2017- More information is needed for this location. The ribbon stone is commonly found for sale on the web as slabbed material of brown, cream, and yellow finely banded and swirl patterns. As it holds little economic value, information on it is in short supply. Hopefully if the material is common, people who have visited the area can shed light on where it is found. It is not the same material as ribbon stone found in the Kununurra region on the Western Australia/Northern Territory border. Mindat map is the Anthony Lagoon pastoral station homestead until further information is found. Some general regional geology is included below.

The Anthony Lagoon Beds are carbonate rocks, sandstone, chert, silicified limestone outcropping in the vicinity of the Anthony Lagoon and the Creswell Downs homestead. It shows as outcropping boulders, pavement and rubbly rises, being a weathered product. The low rises consist of chert and rubble derived from silicified coquinites (limestone of shell fragments in a fine grained matrix), and oolites, and from chert nodules within carbonates. The source states isolated finds of fossilised algae, trilobite and echinoderm fragments have been found.
