A mina Branca localizada na Herdade das Pestanas, junto à estrada Entradas–Carregueiro, constitui um exemplo das antigas explorações de barite, com rara galena associada. O filão da mina Branca apresentava uma orientação N-S e uma possança de 1,5 m. Foi trabalhado através de pequenas cortas e poços com cerca de 10 m de profundidade. Em 1924 a actividade mineira possibilitou a extracção de 1000 t de barite.
