Just past the most eastern branch of the Mosquito Creek, a track heads south south-east from the Skull Springs Road. Prospector shacks representing the Rattler mine is passed, then the road winds through a steep gully between hills. Just past this, maps place the Bellevue mine. A structure can be seen, although its purpose is unclear, possibly an old gold processing plant. No gold workings could be seen. An on the ground inspection is needed to confirm details.

Only one newspaper report. Being worked by W. Nested in 1910, with a tunnel for 70 feet on a very broken and irregular reef. The main track continues to the Mosquito Creek mining centre.

Gibb-Maitland visited the site around 1908. GML 129. He states the workings are abandoned. A shaft had been sunk to 53 feet. The mine is owned by local politician R. Underwood and party. The reef is 3 feet thick along a fault line, but extremely irregular in thickness. He states the reef contains minor pyrite, with gold showing freely. Crushings only found from 1900 to 1902 on a very rich shoot.

A short distance east another reef was worked by Ross and Weatherall (surnames), with a small amount of gold in the Hanging Wall.
