Unnamed borrow pits in unconsolidated sediments near the Royal Thai airbase near Korat city. Started about 1965 during the construction of the US Army Camp Friendship and adjacent Royal Thai airbase. These large, shallow (8-10 feet [2-3 meter] deep) pits uncovered gem gravels and a buried petrified forest with some logs to 1 meter diameter.
