Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Pyromorphite vs. Graphite
Linked by archaic translations and mineralogical misunderstandings, the quarterfinals are ending in hexagons with vivid pyromorphite vs writeable graphite.

Sanarskoye uranium deposit, discovered in 1955, consists of five disjointed sectors located between the valleys of the rivers Koelga in the north and Sanarka in the south. In particular, the Mokhirevsky sector is located along the river Koelga (Chebarkulsky District), the Varlamovsky sector along the river Uvelka (Chebarkulsky District), the Demarinsky sector along the river Kabanka (Plastovsky District), the Sanarsky and Pyankovsky sectors along the River Sanarka (Plastovsky District). They are separated from each other by 4 to 30 km. The maximum distance between the extreme sectors is 60 km from north (Mokhirevsky sector) to south (Pyankovsky sector).

The most studied sectors, named Sanarsky and Pyankovsky (see coordinates), are located in the valley of River Sanarka, in the segment of confluence of the tributaries Baturovka and Bolonka, on the outskirts of Verkhnyaya Sanarka village.

The uranium mineralisation occurs at depths from 1 to 20 m, usually in Quaternary sediments and rarely in the weathering crust. The main uranium mineral of the deposit is uraninite. Uranium ores from the weathering crust contain autunite, uranophane, torbernite, tyuyamunite, and U-bearing iron hydroxides. Associated ore minerals are pyrite, marcasite, chalcopyrite, molybdenite, and hematite. Among non-ore minerals there are hydromica, montmorillonite, halloysite, chlorite, carbonates, etc.

Schröckingerite was found in sapropels on the southwestern shore of the Sanarsky Pond (Санарский пруд) and also in clay loam along River Sanarka, as yellow-green tabular crystals up to 1 mm.
