Köppen climate type:
Located about two kilometres south of the Uaroo station access road, and North West Coastal Highway intersection. Little appears to remain. Consists of 2000 feet long north-west to south-east arkose, quartzite, with associated bands of limestone and phyllite, much of it crushed. The lode is immediately surrounded by a silvery schorl-phyllite matrix, the lode itself quartz veins up to 50 feet wide. The main vein contains malachite, hematite, titanate, chalcocite, quartz crystals. The deposit was opened via a small open cut, and a shaft 250 feet to the south-east, from which small quantities of low grade copper ore was raised.
Marston states it is an area of thin quartz veins, 700 metres long by 120 metres wide at the summit of a rough low ridge, as part of the Nyang Range. The cupriferous part however covers a far smaller area, containing two pits, the northern one 16 metres long, 3 metres wide and 4 metres deep; the southern pit 36 metres long, 3 metres wide and 3 metres deep; as well as two shafts 27.4 and 11.3 metres deep, as inspected in the mid 1970's.
Gibb-Maitland also states there is a bold outcropping quartz vein with malachite 0.5 kilometres to the north-east.
The Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
