Köppen climate type:
Uaroo is a cattle station (former sheep station) and covers an area of some 2,470km2. Owned by Andrew Forest (2023).
A number of small historic workings occur on the station, discovered in the early 1900's and worked occassionally. The lack of specific geological information prevents them being listed on Mindat at present as separate localities. Distances are approximate and from the Uaroo Homestead. Victoria Mine 15 kms west, Sunset, Phoenix and Pedan Mines 5 kms west, Hornet Well Prospect 10 kms south-east, Nomads 15 kms south, McCarthy's Patch, Proctor Gully, Weston, and 4T gold mines (possibly under the general name Walgo) all about 20 kms south.
