Located between the Centralian 2, and Centralian 9 mines, 500 metres north and south respectively. The shaft is on the south side of a small spur. No outcrop. Marble with fractures filled with quartz-siderite, with quartz veins containing chalcocite, malachite, minor calcite, trace azurite. Quartz stringers and quartz filled joints extend south-west, west and north-west of the shaft. Said to have collectable phlogopite and magnetite crystals with fragments of olivine, clinohumite and sulphide minerals.

In 1952, Kurt Johannsen sank an inclined shaft, while J. Vitosky extended the shaft in 1968, and joined it to an adit to the north. He also dug costeans 3 and 9 metres long, with McMahon drilling the deposit the same year. High copper values were found to extend only a short distance.
