Located between the Centralian 2 and Johannsen's Shaft sites. The lode is hosted by marble and narrow bands of schist. Costeans, a short adit, benches, and prospecting pits dug by Kurt Johannsen in 1952, and J. Vitosky in 1968. McMahon drilled the site the same year.
Mineralisation in quartz vein fissure, and schist margins. The fissure contains a quartz vein 120 metres long and averaging 0.6 metres wide. In places it is severely fractured, and discontinuous at the northern end. The quartz vein contains bornite, malachite, siderite, minor chalcocite, trace gold. The near surface contains malachite impregnated marble, with siderite filled fractures at depth. Native copper stains several chlorite seams, calcite veins, and is disseminated in thin schist bands. Trace bornite and chalcocite is found in tourmaline bearing marble.
The margins of the schist contain patchy malachite in numerous quartz veins and stringers, and a few patches of tourmaline rock. There are fine veinlets of bornite and malachite in highly brecciated marble.
