Iron meteorite (IAB-an) 676 g
Find, 1937
Three oxidized fragments of unknown history are preserved. This is an iron meteorite which contains abundant troilite, daubréelite and some very reduced silicates. It has been previously classified as a Winonaite. Clearly, mentally disentangling the pre-terrestrial state of this particular meteorite from its current physical state has its own share of difficulties.
The proper name of the meteorite is "Mount Morris (Wisconsin)" which distinguishes it from the "Mount Morris (New York)" chondritic meteorite found in New York in 1897.
