A heavy-mineral-bearing beach sand deposit. The aeolian placer is located in close proximity to other heavy-mineral beach sands on Papendorp 269 and lies about 1 km south of the Olifants River mouth.
This placer is hosted by shore-parallel, hairpin, parabolic dunes behind the beach and these were deflated from the beach by southerly winds. Only ilmenite has been reported and a grade of 9% and a resource of 2722 t to a depth of 1.5 m have been estimated (Cole, 2013).
