Köppen climate type:
Ildeus mafic–ultramafic complex represents plutonic roots of a Triassic magmatic arc tectonically emplaced into the thickened uppermost crust beneath the Mesozoic Stanovoy collided margin. The mafic–ultramafic complex cumulates host Ni-Co-Cu-Pt-Ag-Au sulfide-native metal-alloy mineralization produced through magmatic differentiation of subduction-related primary mafic melt.
Ultramafic rocks in the Ildeus intrusion’s core commonly display meso- and adcumulate textures composed of olivine, orthopyroxene, and minor clinopyroxene with inter-cumulus, high-Al amphibole and plagioclase. Pyroxenites (mostly olivine websterites) in the core also have a cumulate texture, while pyroxenite veins and dikes are characterized by a granular texture. Gabbroic rocks contain varying amounts of plagioclase, orthopyroxene, and clinopyroxene, as well as amphibole with minor olivine and biotite, displaying a range of poikilitic, granular and hypidiomorphic textures. Accessory minerals include Cr-Al-Fe spinel, magnetite (with varying amounts of Ti, V, and Cr), ilmenite, rutile, titanite, apatite, zircon, and baddeleyite.
