The Wadi Kid district, located in the southern part of the Sinai Peninsula, belongs to the Kid metamorphic complex. These rocks underwent polyphase deformation and low-pressure metamorphism, ranging in grade from greenschist facies in the south to amphibolite facies in the center and the north. This area is also characterized by many metasedimentary rocks and granitic plutons associated with A-type rocks, as well as basic rocks.
