Silurian lead-zinc deposit of fine clastic sedimentary-strongly reworked type.
Overprinting and modification of pre-existing syngenetic SEDEX-type deposits by subsequent magmatic–hydrothermal activity.
Vein-type mineralization, primarily hosted within carbonaceous-silty phyllite of the Shuanghezhen Formation's second lithologic unit. The deposit is bound to the north by limestone of the Gongguan Formation and the fine-grained clastic rocks of the Xichahe Formation, and to the south by phyllite of the Meiziya Formation. Ore bodies, sub-parallel to the bedding with dips of 0–20°∠60–84°, are structurally controlled by three intraformational faults), resulting in band-like and lenticular geometries along the faults. The estimated total mineral resource exceeds 500,000 tonnes of zinc and 50,000 tonnes of lead, with average grades of 1.41 % Pb and 11.58 % Zn.
