Yuzhny quarry
The study of morphological, mineralogical and geochemical features of native gold obtained separately in slag, fly ash and slime showed that it is mainly represented by rounded, aggregated and spongy forms. The first of them probably migrated from the Turan placers, and aggregated varieties—alloys with silver and Fe, Sn, Cu, Pb inclusions—formed due to sintering of carrier minerals. Spongy forms of gold formed in transformation conditions during thermal processes in the form of varieties with voids filled with unburnt organic matter. At similar gold contents in solid combustion products, the highest concentration of this metal and the composition of inclusions is noted in slag. Gold is more different in fly ash, in slime it is characterized by high fineness. These materials, as well as mineral associations allowed determining the sources of gold arrival from ore formations of the Turan massif.
The coalfield comprises three sectors: the Vostochnyi (Eastern), Zapadnyi (Western), and Yuzhnyi(Southern).
