The Xuehuashan wolframite deposit is located at the endo- and exdo- contact zone of the northwest Baijiazhuang granitoid. The major exposed stratum is a series of shallow-marine Devonian facies clastic rocks, consisting of silty slate, siltstone, quartz sandstone, thin layered banded marble, and felsic hornfels, most of which have undergone regional metamorphism and variable degrees of magmatic contact metamorphism. W-bearing veins are controlled by regional NE- and NW-striking deep fractures, as well as parallel secondary fractures, and most of the veins are hosted within the structural framework formed by the intersection and convergence of fractures. The veined and lenticular-shaped ore bodies are 30 – 300 m in length and 0.2 – 4 m in width with similar strikes of NE 30 – 60° and steep dip angles of 40 – 80°. The ore veins are densely clustered in the center of the ore body, which are 2 – 5 m spaced, and gradually become thinning to both sides. WO3 grade varying from 0.10 to 3.50 %.
