The Tengjia lode gold deposit is located in the Zhaoping fault zone, adjacent to the Taishang gold deposit within the Linglong ore field. The exposed strata at Tengjia primarily comprise the Neoarchean Jiaodong rock group and Quaternary sediments. Structurally, the SE-striking Potouqing fault, which is considered the continuation of the Zhaoping fault zone to the north, experienced initial compression-torsion followed by tension–torsion, and is inferred to be the primary ore-controlling structure at Tengjia.
The Tengjia Au deposit comprises one principal orebody, accounting for 55.82 % of the total resources of the deposit, and six secondary orebodies making up the remaining 44.18 %. The principal orebody exhibits a plate-like morphology within Potouqing fault fracture zone, with an orientation of ∼ 49° and a dip angle varying between 27° to 38° towards the southeast. In scale, it spans a controlled strike length of ∼ 1130 m and has a vertical depth varying from 1.02 m to 12.92 m. Notably, the main orebody occurs at elevations ranging from −1600 to −1200 m, with a local gold grade of up to 47.90 g/t.
The Tengjia alteration and mineralization can be categorized into three distinct stages, that are (Ⅰ) the K-feldspar-quartz stage, (Ⅱ) the quartz-sericite-native gold-sulfide stage, and (Ⅲ) the quartz-calcite-galena-sphalerite stage.
