High sulfidation epithermal
Alteration occurs in three zones at Bejucosa, Caracucho and Cementerio in an area of about 3-4 km2. The host rocks are dacite domes with block and ash flows at Caracucho cutting dacitic to andesitic lapilli and ash tuffs of the Rio Quema Formation which are intensely altered and are cross cut by an unaltered, post-mineral diorite intrusion of the El Montuoso suite.
