Predominantly features quartzo-feldspathic garnet amphibolitic to biotitic gneisses, with the aluminum-rich rocks containing sillimanite, kyanite, or a combination of both. Vanadium grossular is consistently confined to graphitic gneiss and calcium silicates, interbedded with marble, indicating that the mineralization of vanadium grossular is stratigraphically controlled.
