It hosts proven reserves of 2.6 t Au, with an average gold grade of 3.17 g/t. Nanban is primarily hosted within Dewulu quartz diorite, which intrudes the Lower Permian Daguanshan Group. Five orebodies (Au1-Au5) are within the deposit. These orebodies predominantly exhibit a north–south orientation with dips (76°-80°), extending from tens to several hundred meters in length and varying in width from less than one meter to several meters. Among them, Au1, Au2, and Au3 account for over 90 % of the total gold reserves and are structurally controlled by the F1, F2, and F3 faults. The mineralization of the Nanban deposit is divided into two principal styles: quartz ± arsenopyrite ± pyrite vein type and disseminated arsenopyrite-pyrite type. Three distinct mineralization stages are based on mineral paragenesis and textural relationships: quartz-pyrite-arsenopyrite (stage I); quartz-polymetallic-sulfides (stage II); and carbonate-quartz (stage III).
