Köppen climate type:
The Nakuang gold deposit with (non-JORC) gold reserves of ~20 t at an average grade of 1.07 g/t is located in the southern part of the Youjiang basin. The major strata in the deposit are the second and third units of the Middle Triassic Baifeng Formation, with the former hosting >90% of the orebodies. Similar to the other two deposits, no igneous intrusions are reported from the deposit. Most orebodies at Nakuang strike NW, but some orebodies strike E−W in the northwestern part of the mining area. These orebodies are conformable or semi-conformable layers and lenses dominantly controlled by fault zones parallel to, or crosscutting, bedding in the Baifeng Formation.
Orogenic.
