Köppen climate type:
This ophiolitic mélange is mainly composed of imbricate northward-thrust sheets with dip angles. The matrix of the ophiolitic mélange is mainly muscovite schists and quartz sandstones. Most of the matrix rocks are strongly deformed, and the strikes of their schistosities are about 78°. The ophiolitic mélange contains EW-trending tectonic blocks of serpentinized peridotites, serpentinites, mylonitized gabbros, gabbros, basalts, and quartzite. These rocks are tectonically juxtaposed. Peridotites were strongly serpentinized with olivine relicts. Some gabbro blocks are mylonitized. Attitudes of foliations in mylonitized gabbros are 10°∠68°, 25°∠70°, 15°∠72°, indicating south-toward thrusts. Gabbros thrust upon the serpentinized peridotites in NE direction, and attitudes of the fault between gabbros and peridotites change with a wide range.
