Mineral List

Mineral list contains entries from the region specified including sub-localities

17 valid minerals. 2 (TL) - type locality of valid minerals.

Detailed Mineral List:

ⓘ Argentotetrahedrite-(Fe)
Formula: Ag6(Cu4Fe2)Sb4S12S
Description: Identified as argentian tetrahedrite by Cabri et al.(1970). It occurs in a massive base-metal sulphide ore in which the principal opaque minerals consist of coarse grains and inclusions of pyrrhotite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite. There are lesser amounts of galena, marcasite, arsenopyrite, cobaltite, pyrargyrite, paracostibite, gudmundite, stannite, argentotetrahedrite-(Fe), silver, allrargentum, ilmenite, breithauptite, cassiterite and nisbite.

ⓘ Native Silver
Formula: Ag
ⓘ Nisbite (TL)
Formula: NiSb2
Description: The type description (Cabri et al, 1970) indicates that nisbite is very rare at the locality and that it easily mistaken for fine grained gudmunite. The two minerals can only be distinguished by analyzing individual grains. Cabri et al. (1970) found nisbite as irregular grains up to 20 micron in size.
ⓘ Paracostibite (TL)
Formula: CoSbS
Type Locality:
ⓘ Pyrargyrite
Formula: Ag3SbS3
ⓘ Pyrite
Formula: FeS2
ⓘ Pyrrhotite
Formula: Fe1-xS
ⓘ Sphalerite
