Enstatite chondrite,low-Fe [EH4; S4]
Fall, 1 May 1919; 4.238 kg, a single stone

After detonations, a single stone fell at noon. The Enstatite Chondrite class is formally defined by bulk chemical abundances and oxygen isotope ratios. However, mineralogically the meteorites are characterized by their abundant Fe-poor silicates and their highly reduced mineral assemblages. The high-iron Enstatite Chondrites are further characterized by their small chondrules and the presence of niningerite and perryite. Petrologic type 4 EH chondrites have been metamorphosed with resulting homogenized olivine and recrystallize fine-grained matrix. The EH4 chondrules are abundant and lack glass.

In addition to the usual mix of chondrules, metal, sulfides, and various clastic, Adhi Kot's brecciated matrix also contains a component of unusual silica-rich clasts (5 vol%).
