Daye copper mine
Name(s) in local language(s):
冯家山铜矿 (大冶铜矿), 大冶市, 黄石市, 湖北省, 中国

Skarn-type iron-copper deposit. The former government-owned copper mine is now privately held and worked for wollastonite. A note on the Arkenstone website (November 2, 2020; data from an underground visit in 2019) says hubeite crystals occur in pockets at the edges of thick veins of wollastonite, which are mined for industrial silicon.

Analcime crystals up to 2 cm have emerged since 2016 from this mine (Tron, 2022).

Note: Unlike stated in the title of Ottens's paper (2007), this mine is located in Daye County (not Daye District) and Huangshi Prefecture (not Ezhou Prefecture).
