Dongchuan-type Cu deposit, hosted in Proterozoic rocks of the Luoxue formation of the middle Kunyang sub-group.
Largest mine in the Dongchuan orefield.
The Tangdan deposit is mainly composed of bedded ore bodies and vein ore bodies. Bedded ores are mainly hosted in dolostones, whereas vein-type ores are mainly hosted in dolostones and carbonaceous slates.
