Stanchion
Stanchions[note 1][1] are a type of obstacle seen in the Original Game played during Chapter 3 of Deltarune. They appear exclusively on the City Board.
Stanchions block the path to the manhole dungeon, requiring HERO_SWORD to kill HERO_AXE and HERO_SCARF to get to LV3 and destroy them. Upon respawning after getting the sword, it is possible to press [CONFIRM] immediately to kill the duo and progress.
The Stanchions seen in the Original Game also appear on the unused City Board, in the same place. A Tenna test NPC guards them.[2]
