Fandom: Mass Effect (spoilers up to ME2 only)
Characters/Pairings: EDI/Jeff "Joker" Moreau Female Shepard/Garrus Vakarian
Rating: Gen
Length: 6860 words
Creator Links: skogr on AO3
Theme: In Spaaaaace, Interspecies pairing (Human/Alien, Human/AI), Disability (brittle bone disease), robots androids & AI,
Summary: Join Cerberus, see the galaxy, turn your alien colleagues into xenophiles. That one wasn't on the recruitment posters.
Reccer's Notes: Joker's perspective on ME2, with particular focus on his ongoing mission to find out who Garrus's secret human girlfriend is. I love the character interactions in this one. It starts out fairly fluff and fun with Joker's typical banter and EDI's pointed snark, and then takes a dive into some of the more heavy and emotional beats from the game. Joker is such a neat character, it's great to see him fleshed out a bit, and EDI's development into someone who cares for the organic beings in her life peeks through in really sweet ways.
