Reccer's Notes: It took a little bit to get into the idea that Harvey could be a fandom author (seemed so disparate to his show personality) but Closer did a great job making Harvey "sound" the same as his TV!persona, so it totally works. I'm also fond of this fic because of it's particular moment in fandom history: characters are on LiveJournal, posting to AO3, watching the new Star Trek movies. It's 2012 fandom exactly.

This fic in particular is fun because Suits the TV show is so totally on the opposite of any kind of magical realism story, but Harvey as a tiny grumpy kitten works suprisingly well.

Mike isn't entirely certain how he let Donna and Jessica talk him into marrying Harvey while his boss was in a coma, even if they swore he wouldn't mind. He thought the hardest part would be going to the hospital and confronting the sight of his boss and friend lying there, but instead it turned out to be confronting his growing feelings for a man he'd never imagined seeing in a romantic light. Harvey's just glad he woke up from his coma, and trying to not be too upset that he's now married to the Associate he's had a crush on for over a year.

Reccer's Notes:

Mike fake-marries Harvey to protect him from unscrupulous relatives while he's in a coma. More than slightly implausible, but thoroughly enjoyable!

Summary: Harvey's client is trying to take on the mob, in the form of John "Three-Guns" Boccacho. Johnny Three-Guns has decided Harvey's an easier target, but fortunately Harvey's top PI and all-around badass, Mike Ross, is on the case.

Reccer's Notes: I debated over whether this counted as a complete AU or a fork in the road, but it really is different enough to count as complete, in my opinion. And it is incredible - the different career path has obviously had a huge effect on Mike as a person. He's still the same guy, but less - hapless, more put-together, less desperate for validation. And Closer is my favorite Suits author by far for her flawless Harvey characterization in every story - he's still as self-absorbed and messed up as in canon, but infinitely more likeable and much easier to sympathize with. Great stuff.
