Kalloway

Hi! Welcome to my journal!

What's here?

A bit of everything. What started as a place for writing ideas and whatnot in 2003 turned into an actual journal without me noticing. These things happen. ^^;; You can call me Kalloway or Kalli Ashton. I've wandered through multiple careers; currently I'm a robot doctor.

Hobbies & Interests:
☼ Writing - original, fanfic, meta, and about hobbies. Sometimes includes digital and physical zines.
☼ Media - things I read/watch/play/etc.
☼ Music - all genres, always looking for new music too.
☼ Cemeteries - visiting and thoughts on local cemeteries. Photos are generally access-locked. (Just ask!)
☼ Gunpla/Plamo/Crafts - tiny things, often robots.
☼ Plants - they just keep growing...
☼ Boats - Great Lakes freighters and other rare ships.
☼ Arthuriana - the weirder the better.
☼ Mail - monthly cards and whatnot.

I love mecha anime, fantasy romance novels, dragons, dice-collecting, and role-playing games. My socks don't match the rest of what I'm wearing.

[For longer fandom lists, please see my archival AO3 or other fic archives.]

Meatspace & Whatnot

While most posts are public, posts mentioning real life (especially work/family) are generally access locked. Some other posts with photos are locked, such as some cemetery photo posts.

I'm generally free with access to folks with established accounts. Please just ask if you don't have it and would like it. I may someday see about making various filters but right now it's just all or nothing.

If, at any point, you don't think we're a good match for any reason, go ahead and unsubscribe. It's fine and I'll do the same. Sometimes people just don't click or shift apart and it's cool.

(Due to the LJ password breach, I've been removing access from accounts that have been inactive for a couple years. If you come back and let me know, I'll happily restore that data-thread. ^_^)

Transformative Works Policy

I do NOT give blanket permission.

In general, if something I've created has inspired you, go for it. Ideas and elements are open to all.

However, please:
Do not feed my work into the slop machine/use it for genAI.
Do not add unnecessary tags to Related Works.
Do not transform 'Forget Regret'.

The following events do not have permission to include my works:
Voiceteam

The offer to use my work as a lorem ipsum/etc. for fannish coding projects stands as long as it's deleted when you're done.

20 Years Project Master Index - an ongoing project to talk about media I've enjoyed over the years + whatnot.
