Another embarassing question
Inspired by Hushdawgs post, I think it's time I asked about this despite being a little embarrassed, and this is maybe mostly for the women, but I'll appreciate any feedback.
I'm not circumcised. I looked around online and found fatwas that an adult convert is not required to get circumcised, provided he keeps himself clean, but I'm never too sure about online fatwas. This is not an emotional attachment for me, and I'm not thrilled about the physical discomfort, but mainly I'm concerned about medical issues. I've read that adult circumcision can be dangerous.
My question concerns marriage. I consider myself a conservative Muslim, and I'm interested in marrying a conservative woman (no one specific yet). I'm worried that this may be an issue for a Muslim woman. What are women's attitude on this issue? Is it appropriate to discuss this with a woman before we are married, and how can I do that with tact?
And as an aside... does anyone know if it is dangerous? Where does someone get this done? How much does it cost?
