When hope is lost, there is always a signs to look towards.

i've never written Sil fic but rereading Children of Hurin has tragic Turin in my head. :P =) An even 100 came about without effort... guess i'm a drabbler.

I haven't written wee!hobbits for a long time but that tolkien100 prompt "First Frost" inspired. :)

Rated Fluff and back to the old days of wee!hobbits :) (maybe another version is in the works...)

Now, a very important q-- shall i post on SOA as one chapter or separate it out so i can get a somewhat more accurate drabble count? (probably as one chapter, right? I'm over 100 chapters in my SoA Collection of Drabbles ...possibly more! :)

I can't sleep till i answer this because Tolkien was pretty lopsided in speaking Faramir's side in Steward and the King chapter, i thought. 

So what did Eowyn understand in the following quote? what is "it", pray?

this is like a double drabble and a half thingamagig... so it may be elongated...

I've always attracted to this prompt from tolkien100 and finally sharing the drabble i did for it.

Denethor knew only despair.  He had seen the future and he had heard from Faramir himself on how he sent two halfings to their doom. Did he not know how risky it could be? He ran his strategies in his head more than once and he knew that time was running out.

Gondor was doomed.

Now his only son burned with fever that would not abate. He was dying and his turn was soon to come. It was only a matter of time that they all perished.

The Palantir showed the reality. Gondor was awash in rubble. The Enemy had won.

I'll crosspost later. I had a positive spin to this challenge, but the angst won through. I googled "undue influence" which had legal and financial definitions but this is the one that i'm going with which i think this drabble is appropriate.

"influence by which a person is induced to act otherwise than by their own free will or without adequate attention to the consequences."

And i am rereading Rotk (again in pieces) and that quote from Denethor always caught me and i love it so very much. Tolkien wrote it well.
