Of course, I hope it comes in something besides white, but it may not. My Ladyslipper is about to bloom! Squee! I was worried, because it is my first, and I bought it with a closed bud and was hoping that it didn't die before it opened. If I get it to bloom, my husband will get off my back about the orchid habit I have developed. But at 8 bucks, "Cinderella" was quite the bargain. I can't believe how much I miss the naked ladies in the backyard. I hope next year to get more blooms off of my gardenia, I only got 3 this year *is sad*. Want rosebushes for the front yard, but I may put in hibiscus, instead. We are not caring properly for the jasmine, but I am not sure what they could possibly need. Blood? My Princess Tree actually survived last years frost and the hydrangaea is on its way back. The Passionflower, Cape Honeysuckle, and trumpet flower are all coming back. It has been a good summer for the growing things I love, and I am grateful. I wonder if I can get flowers from Tori Amos' garden song "Datura" to grow here? I know that her garden was in Florida, so I am not sure that we have quite the same climate, I know it is hot and muggy there. I will pass this on to Anne rice's page on Facebook. It's already gotten some attention, but some of the people of the page are well off enough to donate as well.
And you've all done a really excellent job with all of them, but it still stings a bit, after my miscarriage, even though I decided not to have any after all.
