Sup #charmers?
Here's a #charmer photodump. Don't cry.
( woo.Collapse )
Fun Fact: Apparently there is some girl named "LisaG" on the Howard Stern show, and apparently her website automatically links to Flickr photos tagged with "LisaG", therefore I get tons of hits from Howard Stern's website.
More later perhaps.

| HOLY SHIT |
[19 Oct 2007|08:45pm] |
I'm coming to Motown tomorrow. I think Mike, Megan, and Dan are also going to be in town. My flight gets in around 7:50pm, so I should be back in Morgantown between 9:30 and 10. I'll be heading down to Strokerz pretty damn near immediately, and I hope to see everyone there.
Peace!

Its amazing to me how clear in my memory this date stays.
This sucks. I want to be home this week so badly. I'm sorry I'm not together enough to manage the simple task of coming home during this week. I know it doesn't exactly prove how dedicated I am to my friends. Something so simple and I can't even accomplish it.
There's no other place I want to be than in Morgantown right now. I miss you all so much and I just want to make sure you all know how blessed I feel every single day to have the love and support of a circle of friends like ours.
I know I've not been the most diplomatic over the years.. I've been a downright bitch. but even so, you've still stuck by me. I love you guys.
I love you all and I miss you all so freakin much. Please know that. The "Charmers" are my family and there is nothing more important in this world than family.
Be safe on this day and this week.
I love you all. Sorry I suck and can't come home.
Love always, *Jackie*

I reinstalled windows last night, and then realized I forgot to save my character saves. But I wasn't overcome by a wave of anger or any emotion at that. I just reinstalled oblivion and all the other games I play. I haven't felt like playing it at all, infact I haven't even cracked the EXE so I don't have to wear out my dvd. I just don't care... Has it happened? THIS EARLY? Has this happened to anyone else?

Not that many will pay attention to this entry, but I'm gonna say it anyways.
Since it is getting close to Christmas, I would like to wish everyone a 'Merry Christmas from Orlando, FL'. Also, I wish everyone all the happiness in the world. Good luck in the new year, may this coming year be better for everyone than this one was...
Side note: I'm sorry to all of those that got hurt this year..by anyone, and if it was by me, I do apologise.

[17 Nov 2005|05:53pm] |
Okay so.. that looks kind of... half-promising?
Well, hmm...
I was kind of expecting a more go-getting response....
It wouldn't really be worth it to me if everyone important wasn;t able to make it... like if some just couldnt get up the cash to go... so.. hmm....
well, either way, I will either be heading ot NYC to meet folks or to Motown to meet folks.. so I guess.. I dunno.. just.. I need to know soon so I can know whether to book transportation or not..?
I kind of thought someone else would be interested in helping the planning too?
Okay.. well, lets think on it.

| Lets meet in New York City in 2005-2006.. |

Okay.. so... New Years...
I like the NYC idea... so lets make it happen...
I was checking out Orbitz and they seem to have some of the better rates..
I was also checking out a site through my company.. I get a company discount for the following Hotels...
Days Inn AmeriHost Inn Howard Johnson Knights Inn Ramada Super 8 Wingate Inn
I think it would be best to aim slightly out of downtown.. say.. Long Island?
Its nice and about a hundred bucks cheaper on average..
I have a friend at Hofstra that could help us out there too...
So what we need to see...
1. How many people are actually interested in coing? And this means anybody... any friends that would want to come, significant others, whatever.. the more people.. the cheaper it'll be...
2. How much money everyone is willing to spend...
Keep in mind, this means gas money.. (Car pooling is best folks) and hotels
I think if everyone would be willing to commit $25 or so towards a hotel, we would be able ot get a few rooms comfortably...
I really think this is a great idea and am more than willing to look into it full force and help get things moving.. BUT... there are a few things of importance to note...
1. Time... its New Years Eve in the City of City's... which means rooms will be filling up FAST So we need to really figure out WHO is COMMITTED to this trip..
It would be great if we could have something nailed down in a week or so... and once you commit.. you must be willing to fork over some cash.. so as ot not leave others with the bill if you bail at the last moment dudes....
It would be nice if we could use this as a home base to check in and report back with things like
1. hotel idea's (prices, locations, etc...)
2. Who we've checked with.. Have you personally talked to someone who isn't on Livejournal and they said "Hell Yeah!" And we don't know?
3. Lets decide who will be actually reserving rooms... THEY need to get money sent ot them to cover the price of rooms as soon as someone confirms....
4. Transportation.. lets figure this out too... Who has able vehicles and is willing to drive and WHO is willing to ride with who and pitch in for gas... (Obviously, this mostly is concerning MoTowners, as the rest of us will be on our own...
Any other ideas.. pitch in.. lets see who is willing to commit ot a plan and then get to making the thing..
I want to be shivering in Time Square with everyone in 2006...
I don't have internet at my house, so I can only check this stuff every few days... Please, if you have a sudden burst of inspiration, give me a call so we can plot and scheme...

OH.. my tentaive list of people I was wondering if would be interested in this idea.. lets see who's in..? (I just went down through my phone book....)
Beth Dan Drew Eddie Ethan Janessa Jason/Stephy Jeremy Jim/ (I have a suck ass memory.. I forgot her name...*kick me*) Jordan Katy/David Mike Neil Nicole/ (Still bad.. can't think of Mr. Nicoles name....*double kick*) Ricky Rob Steve/ (DUDE I SUCK *Triple kick*) Mari Brian Ben Megan
Okay... sp thats my tentative list.. and of course, ANYone else.. the more, the cheaper...
AND for those that are definately IN for NYC...:
Jackie.. duh. Eddie Mari
Add your name PLEEZE
LOVE and hershey kisses, *Jackie*

| Greetings to this quiet community.... |
[02 Nov 2005|05:35pm] |
Look, I know this community has some kind of stigma attached to its name now, but there are still many people signed up to view all of the posts made on here, and that must mean something.
There are several people coming in this weekend to say their good-byes to Taher.
We can go at the same time if we coordinate it well, and perhaps if the weather is decent, we can have a quiet and peaceful afternoon at Cooper's Rock, just talking or walking around, looking at the changing leaves.
Saturday afternoon?
Who's up for it?

Wanted to plan a gathering this week, the way I do every year. Here's what I've got: Saturday 8:00pm Ogawa Japanese Restaurant (the one on University Ave.)
I've been wanting to sample the sushi there, and it seems very Matt. Plus I thought it would be nice afterwards to walk up to the Tea Garden, for those who don't want to attend the dinner but still want to see everyone. If I get indications there will be more than six attending, I'll make reservations.

We got the obligatory group shot at this past Sunday's 8th anniversary dinner. Thanks to all who came out, even though plans had to be changed last minute. (What the freak kind of restaurant closes at 8!?)

| Friends... |
[31 Jan 2005|08:54pm] |
This collection of people we call our friends, these #charmers... they are just people. We are just people. We are all human. The strength and closeness I once felt as part of this group is no more. Would there be no death, would there be no distance, would there be no drama within our group, it would still come to its inevitable conclusion. We are human. We start young, and by the grace of God, Allah, Brahman, Mother Nature, yourself or whomever, we live to be old. That life cycle cannot change, and as we grow older our interests change, our goals and visions change... We lose touch with each other, or our ambitions and ego's become to big for the confined space of "the group" to contain. It happens, it is part of life. I am of the opinion that clinging onto the past is a wasted effort. Always remember it, but learn when to stop living in it.
When i visit Morgantown, I go there to see my friends, whoever you are and however you fit in... I love you all equally, that does not change. I have made a lot of friends, and I’ve rejuvenated some friendships of old. When you think about it, is that not what it all stands for? Friendship? Human to human bonding on a deeply emotional level? When I think #charmer, I think of all of you. When I think of friends, the same list comes to mind. There are no exclusions. I'm sure there are those of you who for whatever reason do not like me. Years ago, I had plenty of reasons lined up for people to not like me. I tend to think that is also in the past. Regardless, whether any of you realize it or not you guys and gals have made a stunning and irreversible impact on my life and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I have cross-posted my thoughts on "us" to the charmer community and to my own personal journal page.. I hope you each take a minute to read it and consider what I've said. As always, thoughts, quality discussion and yes even opinions are both encouraged and welcome, regardless of what you have to say.
Thank You
