Today's been an odd day - lots of information and news to take in.

This morning I found out the information for my first placement; this is the school and year group I'll be working with on and off until February so it's a long time. I'm in with year 6 which is quite daunting as it's the oldest children and I don't have a lot of experience with that age. The more I think about it, though, it's a good thing I'm with them - it'll give me an opportunity to gain experience and step out of my comfort zone. The school I'm in seems lovely from their website as well, and I know one of the four other students placed in the same school very well so there'll be a familiar face around. I'm excited!

Most of the day at uni was spent watching everyone's presentations - and then it was my group's turn to give our own. I think it went okay - we were quite pushed for time because everyone had run over so we rattled through it a bit but I wasn't too nervous which was my main aim, really! But yes, there was a lot of listening today and sitting in the same room for ages so I'm quite glad it's now the weekend - especially as I didn't get much sleep last night.

Speaking of last night, A+T (two of my cousin's kids) started at our Brownies. It's going to be lovely getting to see them every week, and they seemed to have a great time. I met up with one of the other leaders/my friends beforehand as well at this new coffee shop that's opened up and it was lovely. The people were so, so friendly and the hot chocolate was amazing. It was good to chat with my friend, too!

Not got much planned for this weekend; I want to do some reading and go over some maths subject knowledge (because year sixes can be very clever!!) I'm also going to watch HTGAWM, H50 and Downton so I'll try and post my reactions/thoughts.

I finally got my Pottermore welcome email yesterday! I got sorted into Hufflepuff which I wasn't really expecting/hoping for but I actually really like it because it means I'm loyal and trustworthy and care about my friends which, yeah, I'd like to think that's me :D Also, some really awesome wizards were in Hufflepuff AND my wand is vine which is unusual so yay, it's exciting! The bonus material is AWESOME, by the way. Anyway, I need your usernames now so I can friend you!! I'm ShadowMarauder178 (which I love because, hello, it's the Marauders)

Speaking of Harry Potter, I've been doing some prep work for the famous Harry Potter pack holiday today. I've mocked up a Hogwarts letter with the equipment attachment (tailored for a Brownie pack holiday so it includes cute things like teddy bears and a good night's sleep beforehand!) For some reason, though, I can't find a template of each of the house crests for them to colour in so I'm going to need to keep looking for that.

Still don't know who my artist for thebigbangjob is - I don't think I've ever checked my gmail account as often as I have yesterday/am today while I wait for the email! I'm really very excited :D

I actually managed to do a bit of writing for one of the prompt fics I still owe you guys yesterday. I promise they will get done soon!!! The rest of my plans for today are to:

• Do more prep for the Harry Potter pack holiday
• Do some more writing
• Do some beta-reading

That doesn't seem like too much but, believe me, as soon as I sit down to write I can guarantee my Mum will pop up with jobs for me to do! Anyway, hope you all have an awesome day! What day is it, anyway? I keep losing track at the moment!

Hey guys :) How are you all doing?

Two quite exciting things happened to me yesterday:

a) I got to vote for the first time. I mean, the actual process itself wasn't exciting, it's more the fact that I got to have my say, you know?

b) Went to a planning meeting for the Brownies and we decided on a theme for the pack holiday we're going on in September. HARRY POTTER :D We already have some good ideas for stuff we can do for it (Find Trevor, have them in houses etc) but yeah, I'm open to suggestions :)

I'm heading out soon with my Mum to take Kizzie out for a long walk and then later on I'm going out with my friends for a late birthday celebration now that we're all around. Technically, I should probably be using my free day to work but *shrugs* that isn't going to happen today.

And...it's big bang claims today! Eeeeek. Good luck to everyone who is trying to get their story chosen/trying to choose a story :)

Hey guys :D

So, firstly, I want to say sorry for not being about much over the last few days. Things have been unbelieveably busy as I've been getting ready to go away tomorrow. I haven't commented much because I haven't had the time but I've tried to read your posts when possible.

MY COURSEWORK IS FINALLY ALL HANDED IN! It feels so good to have it all done - it's just a shame I'll have to start revising soon!

As if I wasn't busy enough, I helped out at a coffee evening with the Brownies last night. It actually went really well and we raised nearly £300 so that made me feel good for contributing to the community :D

Most of my packing is done now - I have all of the folders that I need to take in a bag, along with a list of the stuff I want to write while I'm away. I'm going to work on a big bang summary while I'm there and then send off the draft when I get back. 

I guess this is the bit where I tell you all that, as of tomorrow, I'm on HIATUS for a week. I should be back online on either the 23rd or the 24th. Message me or whatever if anything important happens so that I'll see as soon as I get back :D And, you know, if there's any nice pictures or anything then drop me a line if you like :) I hope you all have an awesome week. I'd like to say a big hello to my new friend rocknrollrodeo XD Welcome to the crazy :)

I've been so busy this week trying to sort out things with my personal statement etc. Yesterday was very, very hectic. I had school first thing until 10ish then my Mum and I went straight to the shops to get some last minute things for the holiday. Then, when we got back I found that my personal statement didn't just have to be uner 4000 characters, it also had to be 47 lines or less. So I had a mad panic trying to edit that before going back to school. Then I had a chiropractors appointment which lasted longer than I'd expected and cost more than I'd expected, too.

Then, I had to bolt my tea down and head out for the night. Last night was the Centenary celebration for the Brownies etc so there was this show on. It was kind of fun and it was really lovely because at 8:10 everyone renewed their promise at the same time.

So, that's why I didn't post my proper episode reaction. I think it's a bit late now, to be honest. I did really love it, though. I think the mix between angst and humour and everything else was just right. Are there any episode codas/fics yet? I really want to see Dean on that plane!
Have another busy day today; I need to find all of my teachers and make appointments with them then  have a UCAS appointment. Guys, I'm applying for Uni today!!!!!!!!! Aaaaaah. Then tonight I have my first training session for my Adult Leadership Qualification for the Brownies.

I think tomorrow's going to be spent packing etc. I can't believe I go away on Saturday!
