Microsat 2B (EOS 07)

EOS 07 [ISRO]

EOS 07 or Microsat 2B is a small Indian earth observing satellite developed by ISRO as a test payload for the second SSLV launch.

The satellite is being realised based on Microsat-TD to demonstrate launch on demand capability with SSLV. New experiments include a mm-Wave Humidity Sounder and a Spectrum Monitoring Payload.

The mission objectives are:

  • Design and develop payload instruments compatible with micro satellite bus and new technologies that are required for future operational satellites.
  • Design and develop a micro satellite accommodating new technology payloads in a quick turn-around time.
