YAM 8 [Airbus Defence and Space]

YAM (Yet Another Mission) is a series of micro satellites owned by Loft Orbital, which host various payloads for different customers.

The satellites consist of a standardized bus and Loft Orbital's payload hub, which houses the customer's payloads and provides power, data, mechanical, and thermal interfaces to the payloads and on-board data processing.

The YAM-8 is the first satellite deployed on Airbus' upgraded Arrow 150 platform (based on the OneWeb Arrow platform) which can support multi-mission concepts, technology and in-orbit demonstrations. The launch of YAM-8, which is the first of Loft’s next-gen Longbow satellites, also signifies the first application of the Pioneer IODA development, with Airbus having sold more than 30 platforms to Loft Orbital.
