An Mn mine located 8.2 miles W-NW of Fairholm and 0.8 miles north of US highway 101. It produced a 10 ton shipment of ore in 1952 and had some production in 1954. The mineralization occurs as lenses near the contact between basalt and limestone. The lenses are red argillaceous limestone in the basalt and contain brown to black boulder like masses of manganiferous minerals associated with ferruginous quartz. The host rocks are of the Crescent Formantion and consist of Paleocene? and Eocene pillow basalts simalar to ocean ridge basalts, with associated deep water limestone deposits.
