Waugh is a deep open pit about three kilometres north-east of the Mount Olympus main site. A large tailings heap borders the south side of the pit. The Diligence prospect is 500 metres to the east.
Waugh produced 67 000 ounces of gold from 0.35 Mt or averaging 6 g/t Au. Pre mining resource was 708 000 grading at 6 g/t Au. The deposit is hosted by moderately dipping siltstone of the Mount McGrath Formation, but most of the mineralisation is found within slightly discordant ironstone breccia with arsenopyrite. Waugh is found on the northern limb of the Diligence Dome.
