Dooros mines were a series of Victorian era trials for copper and sulfur on the Dooros peninsula around 1854-55 and 1860. There are three distinct sets of workings marked on the 6" map.
The eastern working (Dooros-4) consists of a short driving into the face of a ridge at ITM 506043 751521 in a wooded area along with a nearby grassy trench. There is no evidence visible today of the 36m shaft sunk by Captain Paul recorded in the literature.
