Dooros mines were a series of Victorian era trials for copper and sulfur on the Dooros peninsula around 1854-55 and 1860. There are three distinct sets of workings marked on the 6" map.
A final coastal trial working (Dooros-6) is marked on the 6" map in the rough vicinity of ITM 504842 751548 although it is unclear if anything is still visible today. Judging by the scale of the larger Dooros-1 and Dooros-4 workings it is likely to be very minor.
The GSI 6" MS sheet records a quartz lode, up to 0.9m wide, containing disseminated galena. Kinahan and Nolan (1870) stated that the lode was iron-stained and that a trial was made on it while mining was taking place elsewhere in the area.
