Small quarry near Åmot located behind the old hydropower station at Embrettsfoss. Neumann & Sverdrup (1960) reported a find of davidite from a breccia zone exposed in this quarry.
Newer investigations on a sample labelled as davidite from this locality confirms a crichtonite group mineral.

Detailed Mineral List:

ⓘ Albite
Formula: Na(AlSi3O8)
ⓘ 'Amphibole Supergroup'
Formula: AB2C5((Si,Al,Ti)8O22)(OH,F,Cl,O)2
ⓘ Calcite
Formula: CaCO3
ⓘ 'Coal blend'
ⓘ 'Crichtonite Group'
Formula: AD21O38 or A{DE2G6 Ti12}O38
ⓘ 'Davidite' ?
Description: Black, irregular masses with a vitreous to sub metallic lustre embedded in feldspar matrix have been labelled by collectors as "davidite". An analysis of some samples of these has shown these to be chrichtonite group minerals.
ⓘ Davidite-(La) ?
Formula: La(Y,U)Fe2(Ti,Fe,Cr,V)18(O,OH,F)38
Description: According to Eldjarn & Viognola (2022) it is likely that davidite-(La) occurs at Åmot quarry, but this has not yet been confirmed.
ⓘ Epidote
Formula: (CaCa)(AlAlFe3+)O[Si2O7][SiO4](OH)
ⓘ Haitaite-(La)
Formula: LaU4+Fe3+2(Ti13Fe2+4Fe3+)O38
Description: An U-rich chrichtonite group mineral from Åmot quarry is found to be similar in chemical composition to haitaite-(La).
ⓘ Mianningite ?
Formula: (◻,Pb,Ce,Na)(U4+,Mn,U6+)Fe3+2 (Ti,Fe3+)18O38
ⓘ Pyrite
Formula: FeS2
ⓘ Rutile
Formula: TiO2
ⓘ Titanite
Formula: CaTi(SiO4)O
