Other/historical names associated with this locality:
Goushfil

The Goushfil ore zone is emplaced at the boundary between the Lower Cretaceous limestone, dolostone and Upper Jurassic shale along the Goushfil fault zone within a 425 m × 25 m area. The emplacement of the sulfide ore in the Goushfil fault zone is an indication of a vein-type and epigenetic MVT-type Zn–Pb ore. The deposit is known as the deepest Zn–Pb open pit in Iran with a depth of about 250 m. Estimated ore reserve is more than 4.3 million tonnes of sphalerite–galena ore with an average grade of 8 wt.% Zn and 2.4 wt.% Pb.
